AP® Human Geography at our school is a year-long college level course designed to meet or exceed the experience of an introductory one-semester college human geography course. The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the systematic study of patterns and processes that have shaped humans' understanding, use and alteration of Earth's surface. As a geography student, you will look spatially at the Earth to analyze humans' organization of space and the environmental consequences of their decisions. You will be looking for patterns across the cultural landscape, trying to identify trends and then anticipate future phenomena that might occur across the landscape. You will also explore different methods and tools geographers use in their science and practice.
